The Classics: Lauren Bacall
Earlier this year, my husband and I were at my Gramma's house with my Aunt Shelly watching old movies. Flipping through the channels to see what oldies but goodies were on, my Aunt stopped on AMC as they were showing Key Largo, a classic Bogart film starting the naturally and wonderfully beautiful, Lauren Bacall. This was the first time I ever heard of or seen Ms. Bacall. For me, she is apart of that classic Hollywood beauty club. She's wasn't platinum blonde or big-busted, she was just herself. My husband and I agreed that she was undeniably cool and appeared to be 100% okay with who she was on screen. In her off-screen life she was 12-years married to Humphrey Bogart, believed in Civil Rights and stayed true to herself by only standing by and performing in projects she believed in.
