Inspire: Melissa Weiss Pottery
When I was in high school I worked at Annapolis Pottery in Downtown Annapolis. This was one of my favorite jobs. I was able to be hands on in the creating process of pottery and meet all of the wonderful artists that graced our shelves with their beautiful collections. I learned so much about pottery and grew a true love for it. When I discovered Melissa Weiss Pottery, my mind was blown. I had never seen anyone with her unique style before; a style that is a little rustic, a little tribal and in its own way, whimsical. I was instantly in love and have been following her work and drawing inspiration from it for the last year or so.
I think the thing that I love most about her work is that it all has a black and white base. I love it when people can find their style and totally embrace it. Her work also includes other colorful pieces, but this wonderful base of a simple black and white is so strong with her style.
I truly appreciate here work and am so glad that I stumbled upon her. I can't wait to see what else she turns out!
